This standard applies to the fuel-gas systems that use compressed natural gas (hereinafter referred to as CNG) for automobiles that meets the requirements of GB 18047 and has a rated working pressure of 20 MPa. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) are applicable to this standard. GB/T 3765 Specification for bite type tube fittings GB 7258 Safety specifications for power-driven vehicles operating on roads GB 17258 Steel cylinders for the on-board storage of compressed natural gas as a fuel for automotive vehicles GB 17926 Compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicle GB/T 14976 Seamless stainless steel pipes for fluid transport GB/T 17895 Natural gas vehicle and liquefied petroleum gas vehicle - Vocabulary GB 18047 Compressed natural gas as vehicle fuel GB/T 18363 Filling receptacle of CNG vehicle GB 19239 Mounting requirements of special equipment for gas vehicle GB/T 20735 Pressure regulator of CNG vehicles GB 24160 Hoop-wrapped composite cylinders with steel liner for the on- board storage of compressed natural gas as a fuel for automotive vehicles Ignition timing control device An adjusting device installed on a dual-purpose fuel vehicle to control different ignition advance angles required for gasoline and CNG fuels. 3.6 Leakage alarm device A device installed on a gas vehicle and sends out an alarm when it detects a gas leakage or exceeding a preset value. 4 Technical requirements 4.1 General requirements 4.1.1 The gas system shall be manufactured in accordance with product drawings and other technical documents approved by prescribed procedures. 4.1.2 The working environment temperature range that the gas system shall be able to adapt is as follows: a) Installed in the engine compartment, -40 °C ~ 120 °C; b) Install in other parts, -40 °C ~ 85 °C. 4.1.3 Parts of gas systems whose normal performance and safety functions are affected by CNG fuel characteristics, high pressure or vibration, need to comply with the relevant requirements of the corresponding parts standard. 4.1.4 The connection interface of gas system components shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3765 Specification for bite type tube fittings and other standards. The installation of gas system components on automobiles shall meet GB 7258 Safety specifications for power-driven vehicles operating on roads and GB 19239 Mounting requirements of special equipment for gas vehicle. 4.1.5 The components of gas system that are in contact with CNG shall be compatible with CNG. If the metal material used is ferrous metal, it shall take anticorrosive measures such as electroplating, chemical treatment or painting. The coating and chemical treatment layer shall conform to QC/T 625. 4.1.6 It is not allowed to fill the vehicle with CNG by replacing the gas cylinder. 4.2 System requirements 4.2.1 The gas system shall include at least the following components. k) Nozzle driver; 1) Ignition driver; m) Oxygen sensor; n) Camshaft (judging cylinder) phase sensor; o) Emulator; p) Speed sensor. 4.2.3 In one of the following situations, the gas system shall be able to automatically cut off the supply of CNG. a) The ignition switch is not turned on; b) The engine is not running; c) CNG fuel pipeline breaks, falls off, etc. 4.3 Component requirements 4.3.1 Filling receptacle At least one filling receptacle shall be installed on a CNG vehicle. The dust cover on the filling receptacle shall be easily fixed on the vehicle. The filling receptacle shall meet the requirements of GB/T 18363. 4.3.2 Gas cylinder 4.3.2.1 Steel gas cylinders shall comply with the provisions of GB 17258. Metal linear fiber wrapped gas cylinder for compressed natural gas for vehicles shall comply with the provisions of GB 24160. The gas cylinders shall be equipped with accessories such as gas cylinder valves and gas cylinder safety valves. The gas cylinder valves shall meet the requirements of GB 17926. 4.3.2.2 If necessary, it should install the accessories such as airtight boxes and ventilation pipes. 4.3.3 Gas pressure (volume) display The gas pressure (volume) display may use a pressure gauge or other gas volume display device. If a pressure gauge is used, the range of the pressure gauge shall be 1.5 ~ 3.0 times the rated working pressure of the gas storage system; it is recommended to use 2.0 times. If they are made of black metal, measures to prevent corrosion such as electroplating, chemical treatment or painting shall be adopted. The coating or plating layer or chemical treated layer of the part shall fulfill the provisions as stipulated in QC/T 625. 4.2 System requirements 4.2.1 A CNG system shall contain at least the following specific components. a) Filling unit or receptacle; b) Automatic air cylinder; c) Accessories to automatic air cylinder; d) Air pressure (volume) indicator; e) Stop valve; f) High-pressure line and joint; g) Lines; h) Electromagnetic valve; i) Pressure adjustor; j) Gas mixer or injector; k) Low pressure air line and circulating water hose; l) Excess flow valve; m) Filter. 4.2.2 The CNG system may also include the following specific components. a) Gas-tight housing; b) Non-return valve; c) Dual-use fuel control switch or dual fuel control switch; The manual valve for natural gas compression shall be mounted between air cylinder and pressure regulator on which the rated working pressure and the flow of media shall be indicated. 4.3.5 Gas-tight housing The gas-tight housing shall have a vent outlet with the total cross section area greater than 450 mm2. 4.3.6 Pressure regulator 4.3.6.1 The pressure regulator shall be mounted with heater and defroster; 4.3.6.2 The pressure regulator shall be easy to discharge impurities; 4.3.6.3 The pressure regulator shall have a part which can regulate the pressure of pressure relief chamber manually; 4.3.6.4 When class one pressure regulation of pressure regulator fails, excess pressure protection device shall work. 4.3.7 Filter CNG filter shall be mounted between air cylinder and pressure regulator. The filter element shall be washable or replaceable. The filter shall be separately mounted inside the line or in the pressure regulator in a combined way. 4.3.8 Mixer Flashback arrestor shall be mounted in the case membrane type mixer is used. 4.3.9 Fuel control switch and line harness The fuel control switch of dual-use fuel or dual-fuel automobile shall have clearly marked gears, which controls or shuts off the supply of natural gas or fuel. The line harness shall be wrapped fixedly. Plug type joint is preferred. Over-current protection device shall be set in circuit. 4.3.10 Excess flow valve The excess flow valve shall be mounted between air cylinder and pressure regulator.
