This Standard is applicable to all kinds of plastic materials, masterbatches and their products, including baby products, food contact materials, electronic and electrical products, automobile products, furniture products, and general plastic products. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 2035, Terms and definitions for plastics GB/T 38287, Determination of hexavalent chromium in plastic materials GB/T 38290, Determination of cadmium in plastic materials GB/T 38291, Determination of lead in plastic materials GB/T 38292, Determination of mercury in plastic materials 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2035 as well as the followings apply. 3.1 plastic a macromolecular organic compound that is obtained by polymerization, polycondensation, addition polymerization or any other similar process to make small molecular organics or chemically change the properties of natural macromolecular organics NOTE: According to chemical composition, it is divided into polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), ABS resin, polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (nylon PA), vinylidene chloride resin (PVDC), melamine (PM). 3.2 plastic materials a polymer material that takes one or several plastics (prepolymer or resin) as the main structural component, with or without additives, to be processed at a certain temperature and pressure, so as to make it have a certain shape and between resin and plastic product NOTE: Include plastic particles (or slices), masterbatches, sheets. 3.3 masterbatch a concentrate that is made by excessively LOADING plastic additives (such as colorants, fillers, fibers, stabilizers) which affect the physical properties of plastic materials and products INTO one or more resins, that can be mixed with resin or pellets so as to be processed into other plastic materials and final products 3.4 plastic product a molded product that uses plastic resin or plastic materials as raw materials, with or without additives, to be molded into a certain shape 3.5 limiting value the maximum allowable level of lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and mercury in various plastic materials, masterbatches and their products 4 Principles of application For products of specific purposes, if there are special requirements on the limiting values of lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and mercury, it shall refer to their regulations. 5 Requirements The limiting values of lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and mercury in plastic materials shall meet the requirements of Table 1. ......
